SMS Consent

MountMonitor is a software platform used by businesses to manage jobs, customers, client portal access, payments, and customer communication.

MountMonitor may send transactional SMS messages to end customers of businesses that use the MountMonitor platform.

How SMS consent is collected

End customers may opt in to receive SMS messages in one of the following ways:

  1. By providing their phone number to a business using MountMonitor during in-person intake, phone intake, booking, or customer account setup, and verbally agreeing to receive SMS updates about their job or account.
  2. By entering their phone number into a MountMonitor-powered booking form, intake form, customer portal, or demo form.
  3. By requesting updates from a business that uses MountMonitor for customer communication.

SMS messages may include job status updates, ready-for-pickup notifications, deposit or balance updates, secure client portal access, account updates, customer message notifications, and demo messages.

Verbal consent script

When a customer provides their phone number during job intake, booking, phone intake, or account setup, staff using MountMonitor may ask:

“Would you like to receive SMS updates about your job, including status updates, ready-for-pickup notifications, deposit or balance updates, and secure client portal links? Messages will come from MountMonitor on behalf of our business. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.”

The customer must verbally agree before SMS notifications are enabled for that customer.

If the customer does not agree to receive SMS messages, staff can set Automated SMS to “Never” on the customer's profile in MountMonitor. This prevents automated SMS notifications from being sent to that customer.

Customers can also reply STOP at any time to opt out of future SMS messages.

Opting out

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase.

Recipients can reply STOP at any time to opt out of SMS messages.

Recipients can reply HELP for help or contact MountMonitor at contact@mountmonitor.com.

Privacy

Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
